"Sensational" is Back!

After months of speculation Ralphy Holmes has temporarily silenced all the doubters and has officially rejoined the Cal State Fullerton basketball team.

In October of 2003, Holmes was suspended for one year by school president Milton Gordon for a misdemeanor hit-and-run.

Back in March of this year Ralphy Holmes said there was a 70-30 probability of returning to the Titans for his final year of eligibility. He cited numerous reasons with getting his degree for his mom and daughter being at the top of the list.

Coach Bob Burton sounded upbeat when relaying the news. "He's in!" he said, "And I can't wait to see him play."

Holmes last played for the Titans and coach Donny Daniels during the 2002-03 season. As a sophomore he led the team -- and the Big West -- in scoring at 17.4 ppg and was second on the team in rebounding at 6.2 rpg. (Complete statistics)

The coaching staff is giving the players this week off and then the players will start individual workouts early next week.
