The Titans (3-9, 0-3) travel to Long Beach State (4-9, 0-2) on Saturday night. The 49ers blew a late lead and lost Thursday night to UC Riverside. One of these teams will get their first conference win, something the pre-season polls never predicted.

ABOUT THE 49ers: Long Beach State is struggling with a 4-8, 0-1 record as it hosts UC Riverside on Thursday and the Titans on Saturday. the 49ers snapped a 6-game losing streak with a 105-70 home rout of IUPU-Fort Wayne on Dec. 29. The 49ers get balanced scoring from center Rudy Williams (11.3 ppg, 6.6 rpg), forward Travis Reed (12.2 ppg, 7.5 rpg) and guard Ron Johnson (12.7 ppg). Fullerton is 32-48 all-time vs. Long Beach State including 2-5 in the Pyramid.

Long Beach State will be favored but if the two teams play to their capabilities I like our chances. If we continue to press and stay with the game plan then we win. If the players start thinking they know more than the coaches, we are in big trouble. No one prepares for a game better than Titan head coach Donny Daniels, and based on the fans of LBS, no one prepares worse for games than 49er head coach Wayne "Hey, Baker was a good coach" Morgan.
