Williams Transfers to Cal State Fullerton

Fullerton CA -- Sean Williams, a 6-11 center from Syracuse, has chosen to attend Cal State Fullerton this coming school year. Williams will have to redshirt this season but will have two years of eligibility for the Titans, beginning in the 2010-11 season.

Sean Williams, the son of former Titan standout center Sean Williams Sr. (1991-93), has officially signed on to play for Cal State Fullerton. Coming out of high school Williams was rated the 20th center in the nation by Rivals.com.

"We would like to announce that Sean Williams will be joining our basketball family," Associate head coach Andy Newman said. "His experience playing in the Big East at Syracuse has provided him with the tools to be very successful at Cal State Fullerton.

"We are extremely excited to have a 6'11'' center in the middle to block shots, rebound, and score inside.  He will be a valued asset to us for the next 3 years."

Williams has played sparingly in his two years at Syracuse as he has logged just 49 minutes of playing time in 16 games. Williams also played at Villa Park High School in Anaheim where, as a junior, he averaged six points a game. He played at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass., for his senior year.

Notable: Williams' reach from fingertip to fingertip is longer than any current NBA player (7 feet, 9 inches)
