De'Andre Haskins, who will play this season at Citrus College in Azusa, played his freshman season at Valparaiso University in Indiana. The 6-foot-4 product of Long Beach Jordan High School averaged 6.2 points and 2.6 rebounds for the Crusaders.
Isiah Umipig is a senior at Federal Way High School in the Seattle, Washington, area. The 6-foot-1 point guard led his team to the Class 4A state championship last season, the first in the school's history. He scored 19 points in a 62-54 win over Garfield in the championship game. His season was limited to 13 games due to an ankle injury.
"De'Andre is an explosive athlete and can shoot the 3-pointer," said Assoc. Head Coach Andy Newman. "He can put the ball on the floor, too. He's a poor-man's Frank Robinson (recent Titan guard, also left-handed).
"Isiah is a combination guard who has a great feel for the game," said Newman. "He can really shoot it. He's one of the most exciting high school guards we've seen and is right there with some of the guards we have signed in recent years such as Bobby Brown and Jacques Streeter. He's very crafty and knows how to score."
