Forthcoming Offer?

California hosted two visitors last weekend, and the Golden Bears will host their last recruiting weekend this week. Cal has a few open spots in the 2011 class, and Laney College running back C.J. Anderson could fill one of those openings. He visits Berkeley this weekend...

It's hard to believe, but one of the top JUCO backs in the country, Laney's C.J. Anderson (5-9, 205), is still waiting to make a decision on where he will play football next year.

A Pac-10 school recently got in the mix and the talented back will make a visit there this weekend before he signs with a school next Tuesday.

"I'm heading up to Cal this weekend," Anderson told "They haven't offered me yet, but they are really interested in me and I think there is a good chance they will offer me when I'm up there.

"If I don't end up there, it'll be a decision between Memphis and New Mexico State. Washington State is still in there a little bit, but those top three (Cal, Memphis and New Mexico State) are the ones I'm really thinking about the most right now."

As a freshman in 2009, Anderson was solid posting 693 yards and three touchdowns seeing spot duty and this fall he put up huge numbers, posting over 1,500 yards and 13 touchdowns on a team that went 5-5.

Anderson plans to enroll in June and he will have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
