BERKELEY -- In the past five games, California freshman guard Tyrone Wallace has averaged 31 minutes per game as the starter at the two, coming alive at USC on Saturday with a 10-point, 4-rebound performance against the Trojans as the Bears managed a split on the road in Los Angeles.

After starting the season shooting just 34.3 percent from the field, during last weekend, Wallace shot 7-for-16 , pulled down 12 rebounds and dished out five assists while only committing three turnovers.

Against USC, Wallace had perhaps the best game of his college career, playing a season-high 38 minutes, scoring 10 points, notching one block, two steals, three assists and two treys.

With Ricky Kreklow and Brandon Smith out indefinitely, Wallace figures to see plenty of time on the floor tonight against an athletic Washington squad which boasts three senior starters and four regulars scoring in double figures.
