BTTV: Sami Eleraky

2012 Cal basketball signee and current JuCo big man Sami Eleraky hits the floor for the first time in a year for City College of San Francisco.

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- After knocking off the rust of a year on the shelf at Barton Community College in Kansas, one-time California signee and Danish national Sami Eleraky is still committed to the Bears, for now, but wants to wait and see what the next season brings for him and the City College of San Francisco before being any more concrete.

Eleraky started off the first of two games on Thursday at Skyline College in the JuCo Jamboree a bit sluggish and unsure of himself, trying to get his legs back under him, but as the second half dawned, he came into his own, becoming more active in the low post and getting more physical in his post entry.

In the opening game, Eleraky showed good speed for a big man while running the floor, and even set a few big screens as CCSF cruised to a 30-point win. Eleraky finished with 12 points on 6-of-12 shooting, pulling down five boards and dishing out one assist while also chipping in one block.

Eleraky started out the second game on fire, with four rebounds in the first five minutes, finishing with just four points, but adding an assist, two blocks and nine boards in 22 minutes.

Eleraky showed a good variety of post moves down low, though he did go 0-for-3 from the free throw line over the course of his two games.
