Bears Snag 2014 OL

The California staff earns the commitment of ferocious Arizona offensive lineman on Sunday night.

Kamryn Bennett of Peoria (Ariz.) Centennial has confirmed to BearTerritory that he committed to California tonight.

Bennett was awaiting a call back from head coach Sonny Dykes and Zach Yenser as of 8:00, but plans to tell them both the good news.

"I had a long talk with Coach Yenser, the o-line coach," Bennett said. "He answered all of my questions and my parent questions too. The education is the main thing that sold me. I am going to take an official visit there in December."

Bennett received his offer from Yenser on Oct. 30, thanks to his tremendous senior season thus far, making the 2013 Mid-Season All-State team.

It's said that Yenser likes Bennett's intelligence and his ferocity on the line, and that he reminds Yenser of current true freshman starting left guard Chris Borrayo.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pounder visited Berkeley back in April. Bennett is a high-academic prospect with room to grow, good core values and a tough-minded approach to the game. We'll have more from him soon, so stay tuned. Top Stories
