California got the junior college tackle it was shooting for, as fresh off his official visit on Sunday, Huntington Beach (Calif.) lineman Dominic Granado pulled the trigger on twitter.
"I'm so happy I finally know where I'm gonna be going to school next year, I'm gonna be going and playing football at Cal Berkeley! #Cal," Granado said.

Granado, according to a source, will compete right away for a tackle spot when he comes in for fall camp. The 6-foot-5, 270-pounder was scouted by Bears offensive line coach Zach Yenser back in May, made an unofficial trip up in July and reconnected with Yenser last month, after JuCo early signing day.
Offensive coordinator Tony Franklin told Granado that he could "come in and compete for a spot," right away.
"I've always been interested in Cal," Granado said before the visit.
Granado will have three years to play two. Originally out of Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison, Granado is the son of Pac-12 football umpire Al Granado. Dominic had a qualifying GPA out of high school, but not a qualifying ACT. He now has a 3.1 GPA at Golden West.
Granado will land at LAX later this afternoon, and we will have more then.
