Bird, Chauca Out for Nevada

RENO -- Cal will be without sophomore Jabari Bird and freshman point guard Brandon Chauca, who had just become eligible to play, against the Wolf Pack.

RENO, Nev. -- California will be without sophomore guard Jabari Bird again for Sunday’s game against Nevada, and will also not have the services of freshman point guard Brandon Chauca.

Bird is on crutches and in a walking boot, still suffering from a foot injury, the nature of which remains undisclosed.

Chauca, who played a big role in last week’s double-overtime win against Montana at Haas Pavilion, is sidelined with a sprained ankle, which he suffered on Friday during practice. Top Stories
