The preseason accolades continue to pour in for the California offense, which saw offensive guard Chris Borrayo and running back Daniel Lasco named to Phil Steele’s second-team All-Pac-12, while receivers Kenny Lawler and Bryce Treggs joined kick returner/wide receiver Trevor Davis on the third team.

Davis – who was also named to the Athlon preseason All-Pac-12 third team -- just pulled down a preseason Second Team All-American nod from The Sporting News as a kick returner.
The senior receiver was one of the nation’s top return men in his first season since transferring from Hawaii, ranking second nationally with a 32.6-yard kick return average, and was tied for second in the nation with two kick returns for touchdowns.
Both of those kick returns came in the third quarter against Washington State on back-to-back take-backs last season, equaling the NCAA and Pac-12 return records.
In that game against the Cougars, Davis also hauled in two touchdowns and set a career high with 280 all-purpose yards.
Davis finished the 2014 season with 424 kick return yards on 13 tries, adding 24 catches for 399 yards and five touchdowns. Davis also added eight punt returns for 70 yards.
