BTTV: Cal QB Commit Max Gilliam

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. -- Max Gilliam has put on weight and added a ton of speed with his first free offseason in years, and he talks about that, plus the growth of this recruiting class and more at Cal's satellite camp just 10 minutes from his home.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. -- Early on Sunday, a large chunk of the California 2016 recruiting class descended on Riverside City College, with Daniel Juarez, Derrick Clark, Logan Gamble, Traveon Beck and Zion Echols joining still uncommitted Francisco Perez, Alex Akingbulu and Camryn Bynum for the first of two satellite camps for the Golden Bears.

Thousand Oaks (Calif.) quarterback Max Gilliam -- the fourth commit of the now-13-player-strong class – felt a little bit left out, but he was able to join the traveling Cal train just 10 minutes from his home, as the Bears coaching staff made a camp stop at Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian, where Gilliam and the Lancers will play a non-league game this coming season. Top Stories
