LAS VEGAS -- Charlie Moore is one of the hottest point guards in the nation after his performance at the Las Vegas Classic, by Bigfoot Hoops, during the final July viewing period of 2015.
The class of 2016 point guard drew multiple high-major coaches to his final three games at the Classic, concluding with a finals appearance against eventual tournament champion Georgia Stars.
The three-star 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect out of Chicago Morgan Park is ready to start making visits now that he’s finished his final AAU season, after having already visited Georgia Tech this spring. California and Virginia Commonwealth offered over the past month, and he’s now got a total of 13 offers.
Our Evan Daniels said of Moore’s week with Mac Irvin Fire: “A 5-foot-11 lead guard, Moore showed a tremendous mix of facilitating and scoring throughout the Las Vegas Classic. Moore is quick and uses slick ball handling and craftiness to get by defenders. Once by defenders, he’s able to drop in floaters or draw defenders and dish it off to teammates for good looks … But Moore is also a legitimate long-range threat. In a pair of viewings in Las Vegas, Moore pumped in more three than three-pointers in each game. He showed good shot preparation, deep range and a quick trigger. His ability to make shots opens up the rest of his game.”
Along with VCU, Cal and Georgia Tech, Moore also has offers from Illinois, Iowa, Mississippi, Nevada, Pittsburgh and Memphis.
