Injuries: S Damariay Drew (foot; probable), RB Daniel Lasco (hip; questionable), DE DeVante Wilson (foot; questionable), S Griffin Piatt (knee; out), CB Jaylinn Hawkins (out-season; shoulder), LB Aisea Tongilava (out-4 weeks; toe); Washington - S Budda Baker (questionable)
Main Story Lines: Last week, Cal ran for 280 yards while Lasco was out with a hip/groin muscular injury, with career highs from Khalfani Muhammad (163 yards) and Vic Enwere (73 yards). He's going to try to go on Saturday, but he's anything but a sure thing ... Cal has not beaten the Huskies since 2008, when Jahvid Best ran for 311 yards and four touchdowns against Washington in a 48-7 win in Berkeley ... Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch visited the Bears on Friday night at their hotel in Bellvue, Wash., home to freshman quarterback Ross Bowers, who has been simulating true freshman Huskies signal-caller Jake Browning ... Browning is a graduate of Folsom (Calif.), and played under Troy Taylor, who's all-time career passing yards record at Cal fell to Bears junior quarterback Jared Goff last week in Austin, Tex. ... Washington's running game has been a weak point, but this could be the week that Myles Gaskin and Dwayne Washington get going ... The reason why the run game has not been so hot (107 yards per game on the ground; second-worst in the Pac-12 ahead of only pass-only Washington State's Air Raid offense) has been the continuously changing cast of characters on the front line for the Huskies, with a freshman and a redshirt freshman making their first college starts last week against Utah State ... The Aggies scored 17 points against the Huskies defense last week -- a season high for Utah State, which lost 24-14 to Utah and 12-9 to Southern Utah ... Goff now owns 22 school records, after setting career records for passing yards, pass completions and total offense last week against Texas; Goff is two passing touchdowns away from tying Kyle Boller for the career mark, and could very well have that in his back pocket by the time Saturday's game is done.
