Jared Goff will need help negotiating Cameron Smith, Su'a Cravens and the USC defense

BERKELEY -- Which match-up will be key for Cal's passing game against USC?

Notes from Cal and USC Practices

WR Darreus Rogers was back and participated fully after limited work on Tuesday ... WR Steven Mitchell, Jr. did some individual work, but worked with a heavily taped ankle ... Juju Smith-Schuster favored his left leg several times after going to the ground, but finished practice after being checked out by trainers ... Adoree Jackson, who played just two plays on defense last week, spent the entire practice on the defensive side of the ball, so he'll add to USC's playmakers in the back half of the defense against Jared GoffKenny Lawler and Bryce Treggs ... Treggs was held out on Tuesday due to a toe injury, but head coach Sonny Dykes said he will play against the Trojans ... Deep threat Trevor Davis was all over the place for Cal on Tuesday, and looks to be fully recovered from a sprained ankle ... Chad Hansen spent time with the first-team at the Z-receiver position, as did Kanawai Noa ... Brian Farley spent much of the day with the first-team offensive line at left tackle, with Aaron Cochran -- who started at LT last week -- on the right for several stretches ... Another line formulation saw Cochran at right tackle, Patrick Mekari at right guard, Addison Ooms at center, Chris Borrayo at left guard and Farley at left tackle ... Cochran also took reps at left tackle, with Steven Moore on the right side ... More notes HERE.
