Victor Viramontes Has Locked in a Cal Visit

Norco (Calif.) athlete Victor Viramontes has set up a pair of Pac-12 visits and will likely make a Signing Day decision.

Former Michigan commit Victor Viramontes has been back on the market since December and has scheduled his first official trips.

"I'm going to Utah this weekend (Jan. 15) and Cal (Jan 30)," Viramontes said. "I don't have anything set for the weekend of January 22 yet but both Virginia and UCF are trying to get me up to visit. UCF just offered me last week so I'm considering both schools for a visit and I'm planning to commit on Signing Day."

Viramontes is a two-way standout who could end up at qurterback or linebacker in college. Quarterback is his first love and where all of the schools on his short list are currently recruiting him.

The athlete is a big, physical player who we have compared to former Florida great Tim Tebow in terms of his frame, playing style and toughness. Some schools feel his size and physical nature project better at the linebacker position but quarterback is where he'll likely start off at in college.
