How has Cal freshman Ross Bowers looked during spring practice?

BERKELEY -- As we go through the tape on Cal's quarterback competitors, we come to freshman Ross Bowers, who enrolled early a year ago and has put on some size as he enters the 2016 quarterback competition.

California head coach Sonny Dykes on Ross Bowers: "Ross has been a little bit sick here, recently, but I think once he gets healthy, he's got the size and the arm strength and the stuff that you're looking for. He really did a good job on the scout team. Physically, he's really changed. He's gotten bigger, he's gotten stronger. He's playing with some confidence."
