BERKELEY -- Cal quarterback Davis Webb breaks down his receivers, including Demetris Robertson and Melquise Stovall, and his offensive line, which has given him ample time to throw during the first two days in pads.

Webb also talks about his summer of preparation, specifically his throwing sessions with receivers.

In Saturday's practice, Webb went 12-of-15 with two touchdowns. The first was a 27-yarder to Stovall, over Cameron Walker, with a back-side block by Khalfani Muhammad on DeVante Wilson, which bought Webb the time he needed. The second was a 24-yarder to Jordan Veasy over Luke Rubenzer. Webb did have one pick on the day, though, a pass to Stovall that wound up in the hands of Ray Davison, who returned the ball 42 yards for a pick-six.

Webb praised redshirt freshman quarterback Ross Bowers as the most improved quarterback on the roster. On Saturday, Bowers completed his first five passes of full 11-on-11 action, going 5-for-7 for 47 yards on his first drive. He finished 6-for-8 for 49 yards on the day. On Friday, Bowers went 7-of-9 for 71 yards and one touchdown.
