BERKELEY -- We wrap up all of the news from the first week of fall camp, from the retirements of Caleb Coleman and Austin Aaron, to the transfer of Carlos Strickland, to the emergence of new starting quarterback Davis Webb. -- What happened during the first week of California fall camp? Luke Rubenzer hauled in three interceptions (including a pick-six), Darius Allensworth leads the defensive backfield with four picks, Davis Webb took hold of the starting quarterback gig, the Bears lost receivers Austin Aaron and Carlos Strickland to retirement and transfer, and lost nickel back Caleb Coleman to retirement, plus, 2016 offensive tackle signee Daniel Juarez will delay his enrollment until the spring, and defensive back A.J. Greathouse will be lost for the season.

Defensive end Noah Westerfield went down with a rolled ankle, and nickel back Trey Turner has been laid up with an Achilles flare-up for the last three days.
