Game Day Conversation: Tre Watson
Marshawn Lynch is set to lead the Bears onto the field in a golf cart, in commemoration of the 10-year anniversary of his joyride after an overtime win over the Huskies. We chatted with running back Tre Watson, who's been a camp counselor at Lynch's Family 1st camps every summer, about the limited-edition bobblehead being given out today to the first 10,000 fans.
Thoughts on the Marshawn bobblehead? "We think it's funny. We're excited to have him out here with us, too, on Saturday. It's going to be a cool experience. It's funny to know that he did that during a game. The whole idea of it is a cool idea."
Is he going to lead you guys out? "That's the rumor. The rumor has it ... on a cart ... that's the rumor we're hearing. We don't know for sure, but we're just excited to be here. We're more excited about the game, and that just adds a cool aspect to the game."
Over/under 30 guys, on the plaza, in uniform, trying to get a bobblehead before heading back into the locker room? "Oh, yeah, over. Way over, for sure. For sure, over."
What's it like having Lynch out here with you: "It's definitely a great asset to our game. He tells us different things, and it's cool to see how successful he was at Cal, and at the next level. He tells us different ideas, things to do, to add to our tool box. He watches us practice, and he tells us different things that we can do to expand our game to the next level, so we'll be ready once we get there."
