BERKELEY -- "It sucks,"California quarterback Davis Webb said, following the Bears' 45-31 Big Game loss to Stanford.
Webb went 34-for-57 for 393 yards, a Cal record for an individual in a Big Game (surpassing Jared Goff's 386).
"I think their D-line is one of the best in the Pac-12, one if the best in the country," Webb said. "Solomon Thomas is probably one of the best interior guys in the country, so they were just good up front and they were able to get pressure on us all night."
The Cardinal registered four official hurried, with two more pressures that nearly led to interceptions, and one that did, though that one -- a would-be end-zone pick at the end of the first quarter -- was wiped out by a 12-men-on-the-field penalty for Stanford.
