Oakland WR to Trip to Cal

Arguably the most physical wide receiver on the West Coast this year is McClymonds (Calif.) David Gray. At a rock solid 6-3, 210 pounds, Gray looks more like a tight end but he showed at the NIKE Camp in Palo Alto that he has the skills to be a very good wide out at the next level.

Gray has great hands and had no problem getting open against the top defensive backs in Northern CA at the NIKE Camp. He uses his body well and catches the ball with his hands so it's tough to defend against him.

Gray ran a 4.69 in the 40, 4.44 in the shuttle, jumped 35 inches in the vertical and did 18 reps on the bench. He plays a lot faster than his 40 time and is able to get down the field and make plays.

Gray has received scholarship offers from over 10 colleges and has already set visit to his four favorites.

"I'm going to Colorado with two of my teammates Tyrone Henderson and I'Lario Vital on November 23," Gray said. "I'm going to Cal November 30, Illinois December 7 and Washington December 14. I'm looking at setting up a visit with either Arizona State or maybe Tennessee but that one hasn't been finalized yet."

Gray, currently rated the #6 wide out on the West Coast by Pac West, has been rumored to be a big Cal lean for months but the talented receiver said he's open and wants to take all of his trips before making a decision.
