Cal Sneaks Past the Broncos

Maybe the California Golden Bears were distracted by the Holidays; or perhaps the Bears got started on their Thanksgiving two days early, however despite shooting a miserable 4-32 from behind the 3-point arc, the Bears still managed a 67-60 win over the Santa Clara Broncos.

The key to the victory was ultimately a reasonably strong defensive effort by the Bears in limiting a tough Santa Clara team to 37% from the floor while forcing 15 turnovers. The Bears were led by Shantay Legans 13 points in a balanced attack that saw 5 Bears score in double figures.

Next up for the 3-0 Golden Bears will a difficult match-up with the University of New Mexico Lobos. The Lobos will bring their formidable backcourt of Reuben Douglas and Marlon Parmer to Haas on November 28th in this year's game of a home and home series with New Mexico. Top Stories
