In Thursday's Rocky Mountain Summer League play, Francisco Elson and Yogi Stewart made contributions to their teams' efforts as the week-long session winds down.

Portland 87/Toronto 81 (Stewart 19 min, 3 pts, 6 reb)
Denver 73/Phoenix 64 (Elson 17 min, 4 pts, 4 reb, 1 block)

Elson's playing time and productivity have gone down since Denver added lottery pick Nene Hilario to the roster. In 17 minutes, Elson had 4 points, 4 rebounds and 1 blocked shot. Hilario had 8 points, 6 rebounds, 5 fouls and 4 turnovers in 20 minutes -- leading Golden State Warrior fans to wonder how we missed out on this gem. Of the 11 Nuggets players who played, 10 played more than 15 minutes, and 7 players scored either 7, 8 or 9 points. Casey Jacobsen, who up to this point has played fairly well for Phoenix this summer, had 1 point in 31 minutes, including 0/7 from the field and 0/4 from 3-point territory.

In 19 minutes of play, Stewart had 3 points and 6 rebounds. Stewart's play was limited as Toronto was also giving time at the center/power forward positions to Maceo Baston, Michael Bradley, Olden Polynice, and Jason Lawson. Listed at starting center is the unfortunately named Jermaine Jackson whose numbers (6 assists, 0 rebounds, and 1 foul in 16 minutes) are closer to that of a guard's.

Denver and Toronto each have games scheduled during the last two days (Friday and Saturday) of the league.
