Top JUCO WR Likes Bears

Visalia (Calif.) College of the Sequoias WR Jamar Howard is approaching double-digit offers. He originally signed with Minnesota out of high school. Michigan State has been his favorite, but he tells us staying out West to play in the Pac-10 is intriguing…

Jamar Howard (6-3, 215) says his offers number about nine. They included as follows: Arizona, Cincinnati, Florida State, Illinois, Louisville, Memphis, and Purdue among others. However, he says California and Michigan State are the two schools that are standing out.

Despite signing with Minnesota, he ended up at Cincinnati as a freshman in 2006. However, he was declared ineligible, and he decided to attend COS. The Cincinnati coaching staff is now at Michigan State, which is the basis for much of his interest in the Spartans. Heading back East may not be in the cards, if the right school comes along from the Pac-10.

He tells us he likes the Bears as well as Oregon and Arizona State. Watch the interview for more details…
