Greene Adds Huge Offer

San Francisco (Calif.) Sacred Heart DE Kevin Greene is one of the top prospects in the West. Despite playing just his second season of organized football, the talented 6-foot-4 defensive end is approaching double-digit offers. His latest comes from the Pac-10 – his sixth from the league – and from arguably his top school…

Kevin Greene (6-4, 242) is ranked the No. 45 defensive end in the nation by Scout.com while continuing to learn the position as a second-year varsity player. The former basketball standout has taken to football like a fish to water. To say his "ceiling" is high would be a huge understatement.

He already has offers from Colorado, Oregon, Washington State, Arizona, Arizona State, and UCLA. He has been expecting for California to come around especially after teammate Dasarte Yarnway publicly pledge his commitment to the Bears earlier this month. Cal has been one of Greene's early favorites along with Arizona and USC. However, Cal has yet to offer but the Trojans just did.

"USC offered," Greene told Scout.com via text on Monday afternoon.

As for your interest in the Golden Bears?

"They stopped calling me, so I'm not sure," said Greene. "It is looking like Oregon, USC, and Colorado."

It is still early in his recruitment, and he has no timeline set.

"I have to take my trips before I do anything."
