CSD Radio: Bears Stifle Oregon, 65-50

EUGENE, OR. – Ashley Walker scored 23 points and Alexis Gray-Lawson added 17 points as the No. 8 California Golden Bears beat Oregon 65-50 on Saturday afternoon in Eugene…

California got defensive Saturday.

Oregon played its worst half at home in school history thanks in part to the Golden Bears' defense.

For more than 15 minutes – spanning much of the first half to the 17:26 mark of the second half –, Oregon was held without a single point. The Bears led 31-10 at the break limiting the Ducks to just 18.5% shooting, including a staggering 0-of-17 for the final 12 minutes of the half.

Cal improves to 16-2 overall and a perfect 7-0 in the Pac-10.

After the game, at Oakland International Airport, Cal Sports Digest's Jon Doss caught up with Alexis Gray-Lawson to talk about the win over UO.
