Cal Offers Arizona Lineman

Cal has offers out to four of the top prospects in Arizona, Nick Rowland, Marquis Flowers,Devon Carrington, and Josh Fulton. The Golden Bears offered a fifth Grand Canyon State prospect on Thursday. The latest is a standout offensive tackle with three state championship rings on his resume…

Scottsdale (Az.) Saguaro offensive tackle Kody Innes (6-4, 275) is no stranger when it comes to playing for top football programs. The Sabercats are three-time defending 4A-1 state champions. And Innes has been apart of all three since being pulled up to varsity as a freshman.

He has seen his stock rise this spring with his first five offers coming from BCS schools. California became the sixth BCS school to offer Innes after new offensive line coach Steve Marshall gave him the good news on Thursday.

"I just got offered by Cal," Innes told Jason Jewell of Scout.com. "I just talked to Coach Marshall for a while and he offered me a scholarship. He told me he likes the way I play and that Cal's offense runs just like ours."

His other offers are from Arizona State, Colorado, Fresno State, Nevada, Stanford, UCLA, and Washington. He has also expressed interest in USC and Penn State, where both his parents graduated.
