While Odighizuwa was surprised at the outcome of the game, he didn't let that spoil his weekend.
"It wasn't the outcome I expected, but things happen," said Odighizuwa.
"Before the game, it was pretty crowded and everyone was all hyped up. I was surprised how many people were there. Overall, it was a great trip."
In fact, the way the coaches handled the loss with the recruits left a big impression on Odighizuwa.
"The fact that the coaches are still the same, and they didn't act differently after a loss, that stood out to me," said Odighizuwa. "They were the same people I saw on the unofficial visit so that was important."
Odighizuwa was hosted by Earnest Owusu, but spent the majority of his time with the other visitors to Berkeley.
Odighizuwa said that he's got two more official visits set, and two more planned for the post season, plus some in-state unofficials.
"This was my first official visit, though I actually went to Oregon State unofficially for their game against Cincinnati. I'm going to UCLA when they play Washington (November 7th) and to Florida when they play Florida State (November 28th), and then Nebraska and USC will be after the season. And I'm going to Oregon (unofficially on Halloween for the USC game)," said Odighizuwa.
Notable is that those are the only schools Odighizuwa has on his list.
"Those are the final seven schools I'm considering," said Odighizuwa. "I don't really have a favorite. I'm just working my way through them."
Odighizuwa said he has plans to announce at the U.S. Army All-American Game in San Antonio in January.
On the season, Odighizuwa and Douglas are 2-0 in league play and 2-2 overall.
