Gayden to Make Wednesday Decision

Visalia (Calif.) College of the Sequoias offensive tackle talks about his official visit to California and impending college announcement this week...

Roszell Gayden (6-7, 310) has close to 30 offers from many of the major players in college football. But he's narrowed his list down to three schools Auburn, California and Oklahoma. He visited Norman in October. He tripped to the Plains over Thanksgiving weekend. This weekend he was in the Bay.

"It went well," Gayden said of visit to Berkeley.

It's no secret the major need in the 2010 California Golden Bear recruiting class is at left tackle. And Gayden, who has three years to play two, is arguably the most sought after prospect at any rank, prep or JUCO, at offensive tackle.

Cal made an impression on the massive tackle, enough for him to probably not take any more trips. He was short, and confident, when stating his timeline for a decision. "I will know tomorrow," he said.

The Tigers, Sooners and Bears have all made an impression on him and he says he's ready to shut the door on his recruitment.

Gayden was close to making a decision as early as Monday. "I'm not sure, I'm still thinking," he added. But he told us hours after our initial conversation with him that he will make his announcement on Wednesday.
