Will Cal Land Coley?

Hyattsville (Md.) Demantha safety Michael Coley was once down to three schools. But he has opened up his recruit to 10 schools, including California, where he tripped early this month. Coley will make his college decision tonight during the Crab Bowl, which kicks off at 4 p.m. PT...

"I will make my announcement at the game," Michael Coley told Scout.com. "I think it will be a perfect situation to get it done. I will pick from one of the schools mentioned but I don't want to narrow my list right now."

With his 6-foot-1, 200-lb frame, 4.45 speed and his ability to make big plays, Coley isn't short on suitors for his talent. Once down to Maryland, Pittsburgh and Syracuse, Coley now says things are more wide open.

His list of ten schools are as follows: Maryland, California, Pittsburgh, Kansas State, New Mexico, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Illinois, Connecticut and Syracuse.

Coley has made it clear what he is looking for in a school, coaching stability and team chemistry rank high on his list. "As far as football, I want the coach to be there for the four or five years I am there," said Coley.

"The chemistry amongst the players even between the offense and defense is important. The bond the players have with the coaches is a factor. Good intense practices and great academics."
