Report: Cal Hires Raiders' Assistant as DC

The National Football Post reports Oakland Radiers' assistant coach Clancy Pendergast has accepted the defensive coordinator position at Cal…

Former Kansas City defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast was hired Feb. 8 to coach defensive backs for the Oakland Raiders.

Now, Pendergast has reportedly left his spot with the Raiders to become California's new defensive coordinator. He will replace Bob Gregory, who left to join the Boise State staff as a defensive assistant.

Pendergast was replaced in Kansas City by Romeo Crennel. Cal will be his fourth job in less than two years.
