Pac-10 Comes Calling for Kessler

It was only a matter of time before a Pac-10 program offered Bakersfield (Calif.) Centennial quarterback Cody Kessler. Already holding three offers, Kessler's head coach received the call on Tuesday morning with news of No. 4…

Cody Kessler (6-2, 205) has offers from Fresno State, New Mexico State and Pittsburgh. He can now add the Pac-10 to the list.

"Washington State just offered Cody," said Don Kessler, Cody's father.

Cougar offensive coordinator Todd Sturdy called Centennial head coach Bryan Nixon on Tuesday morning with the news. Kessler called Sturdy back later in the afternoon.

"Coach Sturdy was happy to hear from me," said Kessler. "He said I'm his top quarterback he wants for the 2011 class. I'm happy and excited to get this offer."
