NorCal TE Adds Offer after Cal Camp

Raymond Nelson (6-5, 220) added his eighth offer on Monday, and his sixth from the Pac-10.

"California offered me," said Nelson, who camped in Berkeley on Sunday. "I took a tour after the camp and they showed me around. They wanted to talk on Sunday and then they offered me on Monday.

The Golden Bears join Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon State, Oregon, Washington State, Nevada and Idaho State.

Nelson started at tight end and defensive end for Modesto Christian in 2009 as a junior, helping them to the CIF State Small Schools title.

Offensively, he had 32 receptions for 687 yards and 11 touchdowns. Defensively, he had 64 tackles and 7.5 sacks. His play earned him First Team All-State Underclass honors by

Nelson is the younger brother of UCLA basketball player Reeves Nelson.
