Times for UCF Home Football Games Announced

ORLANDO – Start times for UCF's five home football games were announced Tuesday by athletics director Steve Orsini. Celebrating its 25th season of football, UCF will stick to its traditional starting times of 6 p.m. for early season games (FAU and Buffalo) and 4 p.m. for the homecoming contest (Central Michigan).

The start time for the Marshall game, dictated by television, is tentatively set for 7:30 p.m. ESPN or ESPN 2 will broadcast the Wednesday night Mid-American Conference battle. UCF's final home game (Miami, Ohio) is scheduled for the Friday after Thanksgiving at 1 p.m. The start time is subject to change at the request of television, but was set by Orsini to avoid any potential conflicts with the high school playoffs that are usually contested on that weekend.

Orsini said he used input from the fans and head coach Mike Kruzcek in making his determination. "Our fans have become accustomed to evening starts on Saturdays," Orsini said. "This year's schedule allows us to continue that trend."

Season tickets are now on sale and can be reserved by calling the UCF athletics ticket office at (407) UCF-Gold (823-4653).
