Josh Robinson Updates UCF

Cornerback Josh Robinson has named UCF amongst his top two favorites for several months now. Is the three-star athlete still high on UCF? Find out where this electrifying prospect stands inside the UCF Round Table.

"The season is going ok," Robinson told InsideKnights.com. "We lost to Western the other day and I hurt my knee in the beginning of the game."

The Plantation H.S. (FL) prospect talked to IK last week, and since then the team has lost another game, falling to 2-2 on the season.

In the game against Western, Robinson sprained his MCL, but should be back within a week.

"The doctor said that I'd be out for two weeks. I was trying to do too much, I kept shaking and cutting."

Robinson's goal to score 25 touchdowns this season might have been put on hold, but his recruitment is heating up. Robinson visited UCF during the USF game and loved the atmosphere.

"I got there a little late and left a little early when UCF was down. As I was leaving, I heard a huge roar and asked someone what happened. I heard that UCF tied the game, it was amazing. I really enjoyed the trip and the game, I didn't expect it to be that good."

Robinson has listed UCF and USF as his top two schools, ahead of other schools that have offered, such as Michigan and South Carolina. Is that still the way things stand?

"Yes, it's about the same. I am planning on taking my official visit to UCF on October 31st."

Robinson has said several times that his top priority is playing time, something UCF can offer since Joe Burnett and Johnell Neal are leaving. Burnett is one of the better cornerbacks/return men in the nation, and Robinson has taken notice.

"My dad asked me if I could see myself doing the same thing he does, being used in the variety of ways that UCF uses Joe. They use him a whole lot on punt and kickoff returns, something I like and I could see myself building on what Joe has established here."

Robinson will make his decision on where he is going November 30th at his church.

"I enjoy my church, it's my family there, it's a big part of life. What other way would I want to spend such a special occasion than with the Christian folks I love?"

The Knights have offered Robinson as a corner and receiver, and should be the favorites for his services come November.
