Torrell Troup - UCF's defensive tackle had another impressive game, clogging the middle and making plays. He had four tackles, two of which went for a loss, and broke into the backfield to push plays out to other players on numerous occasions.
Jarvis Geathers - The JUCO transfer made a big impact for UCF, finishing the game with two sacks. At 215 lbs, Geathers is used primarily as a pass-rusher at end for the Knights, and he played that role to perfection on Saturday night.
Ronnie Weaver - Weaver looked comfortable and explosive for the first time this season, as he ran for a career high 123 yards and had a touchdown. He broke one play for 48 yards as he displayed excellent quickness. He also did an adequate job pass-blocking, catching the ball and showed very good vision throughout the game.
Derrick Hallman - The sophomore linebacker replaced the injured Cory Hogue and was literally all over the field. Aside from making several crushing hits, he had two tackles for a loss, an interception and finished with seven tackles overall.
UCF's cornerbacks / Johnell Neal and Joe Burnett - both did a solid job against a very aggressive SMU offense. Burnett gave up a few plays, but made a big impact for the Knights as he finished the game with seven tackles and an interception, which was the 14th of his career. Neal didn't put up spectacular numbers, but was technically sound and was physical as usual.
Michael Greco - After missing last week's game with a knee-injury, Greco stepped up for the Knights, leading the team to three scoring drives, including a 56-yard bomb to Brian Watters. Greco also made some plays with his feet, rushing for 20 yards in one half of play.
