Decision Time is Nearing for Robinson

With the holiday season rolling around, Josh Robinson is at the top of UCF's wish list. The Plantation (Fla.) product is rated three-stars by Scout.com and has had the Knights towards the top of his list for months now. UCF is still high for him, but a new favorite might be sneaking up.

UCF along with USF have been favorites for Robinson for some time, as the two have been able to offer him one important aspect; early playing time.

Robinson loves UCF's campus, facilities, and coaching staff, but has expressed numerous times that he will be making his decision based primarily on who can offer him immediate playing time. The Knights, who are losing both of their starting cornerbacks to graduation, will certainly be able to insert Robinson immediately.

USF is in a similar situation, but Robinson's girlfriend was accepted into UCF and that could be a tie-breaker. However, a major power might be making its way to the top of the talented athlete's list.

Robinson visited the Big House last month and was wowed by the experience.

"There are some big schools that I like, especially Michigan," Robinson told InsideKnights.com. "It's big time football up there and it's a great place. I talked to Coach (Rich) Rodriguez and he showed me that there is a good chance to play early."

Michigan has offered Robinson as a running back.

The Knights' may not have Michigan's tradition, but the location and top facilities have definitely helped catch Robinson's attention. UCF also has another advantage; weather.

"This was the first time I've played in the cold," said Robinson about his team's playoff game last week. "I didn't care for it."

Plantation fell to Deerfield Beach 27-0, eliminating Robinson from the playoffs.

"I still enjoyed the game, even though we lost. It was my first playoff game, so it was a great experience. It's tough thinking that high school football is over, but it's also a good feeling knowing that I'll go to the next level. I'm one step closer to my dream, I just have to keep working hard and thank God for all that he's given me."

Robinson will start rehabbing his knee, which he hurt earlier this season. The sprain kept him out of five games and affected him in the game against Deerfield Beach.

The 55th ranked cornerback in the nation will make his decision in front of his church on November 30th (that's next week folks, for those who are numerically challenged like me) and said he is close to making a decision, but could still have a last minute change of heart.

"I'm quite close," said Robinson. "I'm still thinking, it's a close race. I really have to love the school I pick, but it's pretty exciting."

With decision time looming for Robinson, he knows this is one of the biggest choices he wil make in his life.

"This is a big decision, I'm pretty nervous now. I don't want to regret my choice; I want to go where I can play early and be the most effective. I just have to continue to pray. The decision I make though will be final, it will be a strong commit."
