Davis chose UCF over UAB. The two schools were also amongst his favorites through most of the recruiting process, but he originally picked South Carolina. However, the Gamecocks revoked their offer, leaving Davis to scramble, but UCF jumped on the opportunity to land Davis.
It wasn't a traditional road that Jonathan Davis took to Orlando, but UCF will embrace him with open arms none the less. The standout from Tucker H.S. (Ga.) was visited by Coach George O'Leary today and Davis told him with confidence that he was going to be a Knight.
The Knights set up a visit with Davis for January 16th and he loved everything about the school, which really sealed the deal.
InsideKnights.com broke a story on January 12th stating that Davis was looking for UCF to reach out to him and when the two finally got in contact, the rest was history. We will have an interview with the four-star safety shortly. This is a huge commitment for the Knights, as Davis is the highest ranked player to commit to UCF this season and perhaps ever.
