UCF Football Adds 17 NLI Signees

UCF head coach George O'Leary and his staff harvested the fruits of a year's worth of labor today.

UCF head football coach George O'Leary announced on Wednesday that 17 student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to join the UCF program this fall. The 17 will join seven mid-year enrollees in perhaps the finest recruiting class in UCF history.

Not only does the group include 16 Floridians, but many of them are natives of central Florida. Five of the signees hail from Orlando, two are from Ocala and one from Clermont. UCF went out of the state to attract five student-athletes from Georgia and one each from Alabama, Louisiana and Ohio.

The group will join a UCF program which has been to bowl games in two of the past four seasons, claiming the 2007 Conference USA Championship along the way.
