Knights Land Second Commit

It was the first day of hitting for UCF as the Knights came out and entertained a crowd of about 100 people Saturday morning. In that crowd was a local football star who was so impressed that he committed on the spot. Come inside to find out who became the second member to commit to UCF's 2010 recruiting class.

The Knights received their second verbal commitment today from Cornelius Whitehead.

The 6'1", 165 lb. receiver was in attendance during UCF's third day of Spring practice and must have been somewhat impressed, as he announced he told coaches after the session that he would be a Knight.

From Mount Dora Bible (Fla.), Whitehead is a talented local product who can play at running back, receiver or cornerback. Last year he ran for over 700 yards while also logging 200 receiving. He has ran a 4.55 40-yard dash and also has a solid vertical leap.

Whitehead will likely play receiver for the Knights at the next level and he joins Cody Ralston as one of the earliest commits in UCF history.
