Henry Anderson never thought that his recruiting process would be this intense.
"(The recruiting process is) real exciting. I'm picking up a lot of offers over the last two months, and I wasn't expecting this to come so fast. It's really fun."
The term ‘fast' is really an understatement. Anderson has actually received nine division one offers (including UCF) in a matter of a few months, and it does not look like the offers will stop coming either. The 6'6", 240 pound defensive end is focused on the upcoming season and collecting more offers.
"I'm not getting lazy at all. I'm working out every day and running track. I'm doing the shot put, discus, and the 200m. I would like to work on my speed so I can improve on my pass rush skill."
Along with working on improving his speed, he's looking to put on some weight.
"I've been looking to add some weight on for college ball. I gained a couple of pounds recently and I'm going to dedicate the summer to putting on some more weight."
Anderson projects primarily as a defensive end at the next level, although he said some schools like him on the offensive line or as a defensive tackle.
When asked what he looks for in a school, Anderson replied, "I want to go to a school that competes every year for a conference championship. I also want a good education so that when I graduate I have a degree that actually means something. If I don't make it to the NFL, I want something to fall back on."
Another important aspect is the school's athletic facilities.
"I really want the school to have nice athletic facilities. I heard that UCF has really nice facilities and I can't wait to see them. I heard that they are going to expand the stadium and I like how they have the only indoor practice facility in Florida."
Although Anderson says that he does not have any clear-cut early favorites, he has visited Alabama and Stanford recently. He also attended Vanderbilt's junior day. Anderson says that he is very interested in UCF, but he would actually want to see it in person first before calling it one of his favorites. He has not visited UCF yet, but he plans on visiting in the summer with fellow teammates Juwan Thompson and Delino DeShields (also being recruited by the Knights).
