Knights Recruiting Trio

UCF got off to a great start to the 2010 recruiting class with the commitment of Cody Ralston, but the Knights are hoping he is not the only player to make the trip south from Calhoun to Orlando.

Da' Rick Rogers is one of the most talented wide outs in the nation and has garnered the attention of several of the nations top programs, including Georgia, Florida, LSU, Alabama, and West Virginia just to name a few. But is UCF in consideration with major SEC programs involved?

"I am just playing the field right now, but they [UCF] are in consideration," stated Rogers. "The campus is beautiful, probably one of the best in the nation."

With the commitment of Cody Ralston already, and the ongoing recruitment of teammate Nash Nance, the Knights could be setting themselves up to land a trio of friends.

"That [the possibility of playing with Cody and Nash] is definitely a big thing, they are two really good friends of mine." Da'Rick told Inside Knights.

The Knights seem to be in the thick of things but will have to land Nash as well to increase there chances as Da'Rick has stated several times of his desire to play in the SEC. The ability to continue his relationship with to close friends might be able to sway his decision in the Knights direction.

Nash Nance, who is the quarterback of Calhoun, visited UCF for their first Junior Day with Cody and Da'Rick and had a great time,

"I didn't know what to say, their facilities are some of the top in the nation, they are out of this world," Nash told IK. "It went well when we spoke with the quarterbacks coach[Taaffe]."

Although Nash is struggling to receive offers, he is receiving a lot of attention and it is only a matter of time before they start rolling in. Nash talks candidly about the potential to play with Cody and Da'Rick.

"That [playing with Cody and Da'Rick] would be really neat to play with people you know," Nash stated. "Cody talks to me about UCF all the time, trying to recruit me."

Coach Key is the guy recruiting the trio and both Nash and Rogers had only good things to say about him. It is conceivable that the Knights could land all three, but it doesn't appear likely that the Knight will land Da'Rick without both Nash and Rogers. The Knights do like Nash though and it would not shock anyone if an offer is extended at some point in the near future.
