UCF Gets Another Verbal

The Knights received their third commit of the 2010 class today, when they snagged an ultra-athletic linebacker from Georgia.

UCF was the first school to offer Tommy Sanders, a 6'1", 196 lb. linebacker from Crisp County, Ga. and now the team's dedication to him has paid off, as the team received a verbal commitment from the backer today.

Here is what his high school coach, Tommy Washburn, told Rusty Mansell of Scout.com earlier this year about his star outside linebacker.

"Tommy is a very quiet kid," said Washburn. "I took him down to Central Florida Junior Day and he barely said a word the whole time. He said thank you when we got back. He has a great knack for finding the football. He always plays full speed and he never takes plays off.( I saw this as well on film) The game outcome means something to him. He wants to win every week. If we can get 11 guys on offense and 11 guys on defense to have that in them we are going to be tough to deal with.He is a hard worker in the offseason and just really a good kid."

The Knights continue to search the region for underrated talent, and Sanders seems to fit the bill. Stay tuned for more as InsideKnights.com will have more information on Sanders' commitment later today.
