Commit Q & A : Jordan Ozerities

Chalk up another commitment for UCF football. Jordan Ozerities became the 11th recruit to commit to the Knights. He sat down for an exclusive interview with InsideKnights.com, discussing his commitment and his future plans at UCF.

The Knights needed some extra depth in the secondary for the 2010 season, and they got just that in Jordan Ozerities, a talented cornerback from Mount Dora. Ozerities will also compete for playing time as a return specialist as well.

"UCF was always one of my favorite schools. They offered me early and we kept in touch. They (the coaches) did a really good job recruiting me."

UCF fans can also thank Cornelius Whitehead for helping out Ozerities with his decision. They have known each other since elementary school, and is Jordan's best friend.

"He (Cornelius) is my best friend, I have known him since we were in elementary school. He really helped me out with my decision, told me all the great things about UCF. It's going to be awesome playing with him."

Head coach George O'Leary spoke with the stellar Mount Dora corner yesterday, and is excited to have him on board. He encouraged Ozerities to take more visits and to keep in touch.

"Coach seems like a really nice guy. He means business though."

What excites Jordan the most about joining the Knights?

"The location is great because my parents can come watch all of my games. I'm really close with them and it's going to be great for them to see me play."

Not only does Jordan give maximum effort on the field, but also he has great character off the field. UCF is getting a self-proclaimed team leader, workout warrior, and student of the game that will bolster the secondary.
