As you know, the MAC website is live streaming all conference basketball games. I was wondering how you felt about that. I for one have something close to mixed feelings. I used to travel to a lot of away games and enjoyed visiting each school’s arena. I can still remember years ago driving to Akron, watching the game and then driving home in a snow storm getting back in the wee hours of the morning. I have also been down to Muncie and back in one evening. It has always been an adventure. But that has changed big time since the MAC began making the games available on line. For example, tonight we play at Bowling Green. I have driven down to BG a number of times to watch a basketball game but now that’s a little hard for me to do knowing the game is available on my computer. So, I have decided to stay home this time even though I would like to see the new Stroh Center. I was wondering what impact this has had on fan attendance at each game – I’m talking about visiting or away fan attendance? I have to believe there are few fans traveling to away games these days and I’m not sure that’s a good thing. However, in our case the up side is those living far away from Michigan who are unable to attend any games, home or away, can now follow the Chips all season at no cost.
