Chippewas Insider has learned that small forward Luke Hager of Chicago Whitney Young High School is taking an official visit to Central Michigan University this weekend (Sep. 17-19).
A 6-foot-8, 190-pounder, Hager is rated among the top players in the state of Illinois' 2011 class.
In addition to the Chippewas, Hager reports offers from TCU, Bradley, Southern Illinois, Akron and Northern Illinois, among other schools.
CMU has two scholarships remaining for its 2011 class that includes poind guard Jorddan Myrick of Holland (Mich.) West Ottawa, who committed to the Chippewas last year.
Other 2011 recruits who are considering an offer from CMU include center Trey McDonald of Battle Creek (Mich.) Central High School, power forward Justin Moss of Romulus (Mich.) High School and center Gary Cooper of Monroe (Mich.) High School.
