Chippewas Insider has learned that running back Joshua Taylor of South Haven (Mich.) High School has verbally committed to Central Michigan.
Rated among the top players in the state of Michigan this season, Taylor chose the Chippewas over an offer from Eastern Michigan and recruiting interest from Michigan State, Toledo and Western Michigan.
The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Taylor, who's been clocked at 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash, could project at running back or defensive back for the Chippewas. He becomes the eleventh known verbal commitment in CMU's 2011 recruiting class.
