Chippewas Insider has learned that sophomore power forward Jonathan Mills of the College of Eastern Utah is taking an official visit to Central Michigan University this weekend.
A 6-foot-6, 225-pounder, Mills prepped at Chicago North Lawndale College Prep where he averaged 16.7 points and 13.8 rebounds per game in leading the team to the 2008 Illinois Class 2A state championship. In 2009, he averaged 14 points and 16 rebounds per game and was named to the Class 3A All-State First Team after leading North Lawndale to the state semifinals.
Rated among the top players in the state of Illinois' 2009 class, Mills originally committed to Texas A&M Corpus Christi over offers from Southern Illinois and Fairfield before enrolling at Eastern Utah.
