Kelly Sees Familiar Faces

Oak Park (Mich.) sophomore RB John Kelly talks about his Saturday visit to Michigan and the performance of several players he knows.

Oak Park has one of the top sophomores in the state in John Kelly, who appears as though he could be a Division-1 recruit at both cornerback and running back.

On Saturday, he visited Michigan, one of the schools recruiting him at this early point in time.

"It was real nice in there. They have a real good tradition," he said.

Kelly's coach at Oak Park, Greg Carter coached Michigan's quarterback on Saturday, Devin Gardner, when Gardner was at Inkster High. The connections did not stop there for Kelly.

"I know Dennis Norfleet, James Ross and Jarrod Wilson from my first time at a Max Ex camp. James Ross played real good today. He came up clutch."

Kelly had a chance to talk to the Wolverine coaches as well.

"They were talking to me about the recruiting process and told me to keep my grades up and I could end up at a place like this."

As for other schools and further visits, Kelly said, "I'm not sure at this point."
